Community Involvement
In the Kootenay, JCI members are active
with community projects such as ..... With the business sector we are active with the
Chamber of Commerce, ... and with professional
training seminars.
Specifically, we help run projects for our community.
Training
Monthly,
we hold meetings with training on various businesses, personal and
often times fun topics. Twice a year, professional training is offered
to our members, at next to zero cost, at a regional and national level.
Social
At
least once a month we hold a social event for our members and guests.
This can be anything from gathering for networking and drinks, to rock climbing, curling, golf or hiking.
Why?
To
provide opportunities for young individuals. The experience of running
a high profile event is key to many of our member's personal
development. The business contacts from running events is second to
none. Plus, at the end of the day, we help build a stronger community
for our friends, family and colleagues.
