JCI is a worldwide network of nearly a quarter of a million members – young leaders in their 20s and 30s – in over one hundred countries and territories. Through various local, national and international projects and events, JCI members meet, learn and grow. JCI also has millions of alumni, many of whom provide support to active members.

To contribute to the advancement of the global community, JCI provides young people the opportunity to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.

By delivering effective leadership development opportunities to young people, JCI helps them steer themselves, their communities, their countries and the world towards greater prosperity and lasting peace.

JCI members value faith in God, the brotherhood of man, individual freedom and dignity, government of laws, the values of human personality, and service to humanity.

Community Involvement

In the Kootenay, JCI members are active with community projects such as ..... With the business sector we are active with the Chamber of Commerce, ... and with professional training seminars. Specifically, we help run projects for our community.

Training

Monthly, we hold meetings with training on various businesses, personal and often times fun topics. Twice a year, professional training is offered to our members, at next to zero cost, at a regional and national level.

Social

At least once a month we hold a social event for our members and guests. This can be anything from gathering for networking and drinks,  to rock climbing, curling, golf or hiking.

Why?

To provide opportunities for young individuals. The experience of running a high profile event is key to many of our member's personal development. The business contacts from running events is second to none. Plus, at the end of the day, we help build a stronger community for our friends, family and colleagues.
